K-S Outreach is one facet of an interagency consortium intended to
provide services and access to appropriate resources for youth at risk of
homelessness. The sister agencies in this project are:
- Home
Counselors, Inc., Rockland
- New
Beginnings, Lewiston
- Rumford Group
Home
Each agency has a specific catchment area, creating new access to
services from the coast to the border. K-S Outreach works to aid youth in
Kennebec and Somerset
counties. We aim to be primarily home and community based, working with
guidance counselors, law enforcement personnel, and shelters, to name a few.

Assistance
Population:
- Youth, ages
0-21. These ages can include families.
- Not in direct
custody of other state agency.
- Emotional and
behavioral needs. Must be willing to participate

family reunification, alternative housing, and educational assistance,
